The Monday Roast sure lived up to its name with the group
splintering about halfway through the ride. I was thinking the pace was a
little more subdued to start off with people thinking about the hills (hills
for us out this way) that lay ahead, but then we hit the first incline and bang
off goes the first attack for the ride. The inclusion of Cremorne Drive definitely
gives people something to think about as it looks easy enough, but give it some
respect because it can sneak up on you if you go too early. In the end I think
everyone was pretty smashed so mission accomplished.
Don’t forget Wednesday is Mountain Bike time and with some
moisture around there actually might be some traction and no dust!!! Ride
leaves Tannum side of the Bridge on the grassed area at 5pm. A great social
ride that’s lots of fun, with some intermittent suffering…..
