Racing over the weekend was an ITT of 20k’s near Rocky at Alton Downs. Weather was warm with the usual cross wind moving around
quite a bit, it was with you and then it wasn’t. Locals from our part of the
world cleaned up in A, B and C grade. This was the Fox’s first outing in the
roadie world and he did himself proud, even though he managed to drop a chain
just 200 meters into the race! Mick Newell recovered enough to race after being
crook the previous week but had some gut issues during the race. Paul Andrews
was bringing it home when his front tyre started to go down with 2k’s to go, he
managed to still finish before it went completely down. Cat Newell laid down a
very smart time on her very nice P3 to take out B grade and Brendan Hill emerged the winner of C
Grade with a very handy average of just shy of 36khr.
