Mid March Update

Hi all,

Just a quick note to let you know what’s been happening and what might happen.
John ‘the Fox’ Earl took out the A Grade Crit race in Rocky on Sunday morning. If you don’t know what a Crit is it’s basically a short loop/track that’s raced on for a set time plus 3 laps, they are fast and furious to say the least. John rode wisely (he is the Fox) and came out of the last turn in second wheel and kicked away for the win; clearly the man has some natural talent. Well done John you've been working for that.
With the cooler weather not far away there should be some Boyne Valley rides popping up soon with the winter Saturday hundy rides starting up again soon.
There is also a mountain bike ‘Epic’ across the Kroombit Tops with support vehicle/s being kicked around, stay tuned on that one.
The Rocky Road Race season, Noosa and the MS Ride are also looming so it’s going to be a busy time over the cooler months. Of course the Gran Fondo will be on again for those wanting a challenge and a great day out.
Last but not least Scotty Wilson is off to compete in the Melbourne Ironman to tackle another beast that Ironman is. The race is this weekend so from me good luck Scotty, you’re looking fit mate and you’ve had a good prep. I’m saying 10:30 J

Kit Order about to close

Hi all,

Numbers update is the orange kit for men and ladies is all but ok but we need a few more orders to get over the line. The original black is going ok but will need quite a few more to make the minimum of 10, especially for the ladies cut.
At this stage the white and pink jersey’s are off the list due to low numbers, as is the vest.

The Order will close this Wednesday night so get in now for those that haven’t got around to it yet. This will be most likely the only order for this year.

The order will be submitted Thursday morning so we make the next order window with Tineli.
Mail your order to me on mark.ruthenberg63@gmail.com

Grinder Kit Prices

Hi all,

Here's the price list for the gear on offer this time around.
So far the orange kit is proving popular as is the original (black) but to a lesser degree. We're currently over 30 items and eyeing off 50 with some orders still to come in. At a guess I have added the 50 plus items price below.
If we get to 100 items drop about $10 off a jersey and $10 of some bibshorts, plus the other gear will be cheaper also.

This order we've gone the newest styles so they're a few dollars dearer than the normal basic cut. Feedback on the new style is very good.

***The order will close Friday next week***
No orders taken after this date.

S/S Jerseys: Race 3 Pocket Normal Cut + Aero Waffle Fabric Sleeves & Side Panels $86.00
Bibshorts: Pro 6cm LegBand NEW ELITE LegBand Men's & Women's Separate Fit $87.00

Lion Aero Gloves: Snug fit / No Velcro $27.00
Original Aero Gloves: Snug fit / No Velcro $27.00
Cycle Caps $23.00
Arm Warmers $40.00
Wind Vest's: Mesh or Solid Back $90.00

The Kits

Thanks so much to Jo at Tineli for working in her own time today to shoot through the pictures! Thanks Jo!

This is the new Kit, the orange in real life is more vivid and the blue a little darker, but this is close.

I also forgot there are wind vests available as well!

2015 Coffee Grinder Kit Order Open!

Hi all,

The 2015 order for Grinder Kit is now open, I was hoping to have a picture of all the kits available to add to this message but it hasn't come through from Tineli just yet...
There will be the original Black jersey, the White jersey in short and long sleeve, the Pink jersey and the original Black bibs to go with all these.
There is a new jersey that's predominantly orange to be more visible and basically stays the same style as the original. There's also a matching bib short for this jersey available.
There will be gloves, arm warmers and cycling caps available also.

For sizing you can visit this address http://custom-cycling-jerseys.com/sizes.html or if you know somebody ask to try theirs on.
Prices are dependent on the number of items we sell. An item is a jersey, a pair of gloves etc. If we get to 100 items the discount is substantial and can save up to $20-$30 on a jersey alone; see how we go. To add to this we need a minimum of 10 items for each style or cut of an item. This means for say a ladies white long sleeve jersey we need 10 of them ordered for them to go ahead. A men's long sleeve is a different cut so we would need 10 of them also. So in saying that there is no guarantee that what you want will go into production. I'll keep people up to date with the orders progress though. For an idea though work on about $75 for a jersey and $75 for bibs.
As soon as I have the updated pictures I will post them out/up straight away.
The order will be open for a few weeks to allow for working out numbers but please order as soon as you can so we can work out numbers and see what items may not go ahead.
Please email mark.ruthenberg63@gmail.com with you order or if you have a query.

Cheers

Mark

The Basics

It would seem that GRC and Main Roads has forgotten how to mow the grass along the side of many of our roads (or they're trying to set a new level for the Highest Grass on the side of the road for the Guinness Book of Records). No doubt someone had a great idea on cost cutting  somewhere along the way....
Anyway I just had a report of some slashing operations spotted this morning down near Coffs Harbour deep in Cockroach land. They have a slasher that cuts the grass, no big deal you say, well right behind it is another vehicle with a big arsed blower on it blowing any debris from the slasher back off the road.....just imagine.
Well done NSW and pretty much everywhere else in Oz...
