Only 18 more sleeps until the start of the Rockhampton Cycling Club 2015 Road Season. Limited race licenses should be available to allow you get a feel for racing without having to purchase a full season race license. If you are interested in having a go and have any questions, have a chat to John Earl or Mark Ruthenberg. Hopefully, on the 19th of July, there will be an interclub event at Calliope, which will be a great opportunity for locals to come along and see what it is all about.

Thursday Roll
Hi all,
Yes it's Thursday and that means Roll day again. The days are getting shorter so think about lights if you're thinking of staying for a cold refreshing drink (commonly known as beer).
Starting at 5 sharp from the Tannum Surf Club.

Mid March Update
Hi all,
Just a quick note to let you know what’s been happening and
what might happen.
John ‘the Fox’ Earl took out the A Grade Crit race in Rocky
on Sunday morning. If you don’t know what a Crit is it’s basically a short
loop/track that’s raced on for a set time plus 3 laps, they are fast and
furious to say the least. John rode wisely (he is the Fox) and came out of the
last turn in second wheel and kicked away for the win; clearly the man has some
natural talent. Well done John you've been working for that.
With the cooler weather not far away there should be some
Boyne Valley rides popping up soon with the winter Saturday hundy rides starting
up again soon.
There is also a mountain bike ‘Epic’ across the Kroombit
Tops with support vehicle/s being kicked around, stay tuned on that one.
The Rocky Road Race season, Noosa and the MS Ride are also looming
so it’s going to be a busy time over the cooler months. Of course the Gran
Fondo will be on again for those wanting a challenge and a great day out.
Last but not least Scotty Wilson is off to compete in the Melbourne
Ironman to tackle another beast that Ironman is. The race is this weekend so
from me good luck Scotty, you’re looking fit mate and you’ve had a good prep. I’m
saying 10:30 J
Mark
